Celeste I.

State Chapter Lead

Being a survivor of Gun Violence, I have over 12 years of advocacy experience around Gun Violence Prevention. I want to continue the fight to keep children and communities safe from the #1 leading cause of death in America.

I want to be able to get the young people safe from harm and community violence. I am a current Master's Degree Student at Trinity Law School working to get a degree in Legal Studies on the Human Rights Track.

Excited to work to keep the beautiful state of Maryland safe from Gun Violence!

Carys G.

Policy Coordinator

Hi! I’m Carys and I’m joining MFOL MD State Chapter because I want to mobilize youth and young people in Maryland as well as being able to use my voice locally to create an impact. I’ve been apart of MFOL for 6 years and am a highschool student. Gun violence prevention means to me making sure everyone who owns a gun knows how to correctly use one and they are not being use to kill innocent people. It also means that every assault rifle that is used for military purpose should be out of the hands of civilians. I am so excited to make a change in Maryland and nationwide.

Piper L.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Coordinator

Hi! I’m Piper and I’m joining MFOL MD State Chapter because I want to help mobilize people of all ages and backgrounds to act against gun violence to create a safer world for all.
I am a high school student who has been involved with March For Our Lives and related gun violence prevention work for over two years.
To me, ending gun violence is the most crucial step to creating a better world for all. I believe every person has the power to make an impact in their community, and no action is too small to change the world.
As a passionate advocate for safer communities and a firm believer in the power of youth activism, I'm ready to make a change and help end gun violence and I look forward to working to create a safer, more peaceful Maryland!

Julia R.

Finances and Fundraising Coordinator

Hi, I'm Julia R! I'm joining MFOL MD State Chapter because I want every person in Maryland to feel safer in their communities, and to give youth across the state the opportunity to feel more empowered in their activism. I'm a high school student and have just recently gotten involved with MFOL, but gun violence prevention has been an important issue to me for the past 4 years. To me, gun violence prevention means that every gun owner is a trusted, safe, and non-violent member of the community. It also me
